Principal accountabilities:- Support Group Finance with accounts preparation and monthly financial reports;- Assist in the preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations;- Review Cash Management for Group and complete the periodic Bank reconciliations;- Complete the invoicing process to ensure all charges and credits are recharged on a timely basis;- Carry out Accounts Receivable invoicing for external customers; - Support with planning, forecasting and budget control, including analysis of departmental spend;- Work with Group Finance to ensure all deadlines are met (month end, budgets, interim, year-end);- Play an active role in the Interim and Year End audit;- When required; assist all Group functions across finance.The Person:- Good A Levels and GCSEs;- A keen interest in starting a career within accounts;- Proficiency in Microsoft applications;- Strong time management and verbal and written communication skills;- Applicant should be able to work to strict deadlines;- Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive;- Professional manner and strong ethical code;- Commitment to working efficiently and accurately;- Familiarity with basic Accounting principles.Desirable:- A qualification in bookkeeping or accounts preparation;- Studying towards AAT qualification;- A degree in Finance or equivalent Finance related qualification;- Cognos TM1 experience;- Oracle experience;- Experience of posting journals and dealing with large volumes of data;- Logical, methodical and analytical, with a hands on approach.
