Job Description

One of the UKs largest providers of affordable housing require a Repairs Manager to oversee their in-house team, providing effective management, diagnosis, delivery, and detailed reporting of all repairs including issues such as Damp & Mould.The Repairs Manager will work on a hybrid basis, mixing between home, office, and site work, whilst writing reports and attending exec level meetings. As the Repairs Manager you will:
  • Ensure that all priority repairs are delivered in a timely, cost effective, customer focused and safe manner in line with budgets and legislative requirements.
  • Lead and motivate a team consisting of a Contracts Manager, Supervisors, Customer Liaison Managers and Surveyors, to deliver a high-quality priority repairs service.
  • Engage with internal and external partners in a collaborative approach to tackle the root cause of priority repairs issues such as Damp & Mould
  • Produce regular operational and compliance reports for priority repairs and provide assurance to the leadership team that any issues have been managed and dealt with within agreed timescales and processes
To succeed as the Repairs Manager, you will:
  • HNC or equivalent technical level of expertise in a Building Construction, maintenance or compliance related discipline demonstrated through significant work experience
  • Youll also have demonstrable experience of operational management in a construction, maintenance or building safety compliance related sector
  • An updated knowledge around the issues commonly faced in Social Housing Sector, such as Damp & Mould, is also heavily preferred
