Area Sales Manager - Tools & PPE Job Title: Area Sales Manager -Tools & PPEIndustry Sector: Power Tools, Hand Tools, Tools, Tooling Industry, Work Storage, PPE, Work Wear, PPE, Saws, Levels, Measuring Tools, Contractor Bags, Construction Sales, DIY Sheds, Wholesalers, National Merchants, Independent Merchants, Buying Groups, DistributorsAreas to be covered: North EastRemuneration: £40,000 + 20% bonusBenefits: £500 car allowance or company car, laptop, mobile + benefitsThe role Area Sales Manager -Tools & PPE will involve:

  • Field sales position selling a high quality range of hand tools, power tools, measuring tools and associated PPE work wear
  • All of your time will be spent selling to DIY sheds, wholesalers, national & independent merchants, buying groups and distributors such as: B&Q, Selco, Travis Perkins, Jewson and Howdens
  • Project sizes will vary depending on the size of accounts
  • Once up and running will be expected to turnover circa £500k
  • 70% new business 30% account management
  • Reporting to National Sales Manager
The ideal applicant will be a Area Sales Manager -Tools & PPE
  • Must have construction field sales experience within the tooling / PPE market sector
  • Ideally have power / hand tools sales experience
  • Must have experience selling to DIY sheds, wholesalers, national & independent merchants, buying groups and distributors such as: B&Q, Selco, Travis Perkins, Jewson and Howdens
  • Must be able to generate new business
  • Must be IT literate
  • Must have a hunters mentality
