Job Description

A very successful Financial Services company based in Newburn are looking to expand their finance division with not one but two Assistant Accountants.With stunning offices to work in this client also offers a hybrid working opportunity.Offering a competitive basic salary, bonus and study support this company really invests in their staff.As an Assistant Accountant youll report into the management accountant.Working hours - Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5:30Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts to tight deadlines
    • Revenue recognition
    • Debtors reconciliation
    • Prepayments calculations
    • Accruals
    • Creditors reconciliation
    • Payroll journals
    • Bank Reconciliations
    • Impairment testing
  • Profit & loss variance analysis
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Production of board pack and MI
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Regulatory reporting
  • Application of technical accountancy knowledge to financial statements
  • Analysis and understanding of movements in monthly management accounts
  • Payroll
  • Ad-hoc requests and projects
To be considered for the role you must:
  • Ideally be AAT qualified or studying towards your qualifications
  • Have Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience of working in a finance team
  • Able to work to strict deadlines and under pressure
  • Willing and able to develop knowledge and skills
  • Team player and ability to work on your own
  • Pro-active, committed and self-motivated
  • Quick learner
