Job Description

Brewster Partners are working with a business in central Newcastle to recruit a 1st Line IT Support Technician on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to progress their technical career by developing existing knowledge and working with an experienced mentor.THE JOB:

  • Provide IT support to staff within the business, assisting in all aspects relating to the care and maintenance of computing, audio, visual, photocopying and telephone equipment across the firm.
  • Contribute to the firm IT strategy and assist in supporting and managing the IT infrastructure.
  • Assist in configuration and setup of IT software and hardware.
    • THE PERSON:
  • Significant experience working within an IT Support environemnt
  • Good understanding of general desktop, server, storage and networking
  • technologies
  • Evidenced awareness of importance of "customer care" in an in-organisation
  • environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly with people of varying levels of IT ability
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and identify suitable solutions
  • You may have worked as one of the following: IT Support Engineer, IT Technician, IT Engineer, 1st Line IT Support Technician, 2nd Line IT Support Technician, Infrastructure Engineer, Technical Support Agent, Helpdesk Agent.
    • Desirable Technical Skills:
  • Windows 10
  • Windows Server 2012/2016/2019
  • Hyper-V
  • DHCP, DNS
  • Active Directory
  • SQL Server
  • Mimecast
  • VOIP Systems, ideally Mitel
