Job Description

Our client is a fantastic engineering and manufacturing company based in Newcastle under Lyme. They are seeking a Finance Manager to join them on a permanent basis.As Finance Manager you will work closely with the Director and will have two accounts staff reporting. Duties will include:

  • Maintenance of accounting records and financial processes and controls
  • Preparation and production of monthly management accounts pack (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, commentary)
  • Preparing and posting journals including accruals, prepayments and depreciation
  • Production of management information (analysis of sales and overheads)
  • Production of budget and rolling forecasts
  • Production of daily/weekly/monthly cashflow
  • Review and analysis of job costings
  • Preparation, submission and payment of quarterly VAT returns and monthly CIS returns
  • Payroll processing & HR administration
  • Supervise and develop 2 x Finance and Administration staff
  • Responsibility for company renewals (insurance policies, credit insurance, leased vehicles)

  • You might be a Management Accountant looking to take a step up in your career, or a Finance Manager looking for a new opportunity
  • You may be part or fully CIMA/ACCA qualified or Qualified by Experience
  • Sage 50 Accounts and Payroll experience is essential
  • Confidence to manage two accounts/admin team members effectively
