Job Description

Technical Support £23-27k DOE Plus Benefits & training. Newark (Remote Home based Working) 9am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday Some occasional travel requiredOur client is seeking an additional candidate to join their established team responsible for the ongoing support of customers IT and Communications services. The current Operations team handle 1st and some 2nd line support calls for around 200 UK and International companies, handling Fixed & Mobiles communications as well as Desktop & IT Support calls. You will be expected to monitor out of hours emails on a rota basis.Duties will include:

  • To provide 1st and 2nd line support and guidance to the UK user base on IT support issues
  • Raising tickets correctly using our Manage ticketing system, following tickets and updating them to ensure customers are kept up to date. Resolving tickets.
  • Raising tickets in Manage for other teams/ departments in an appropriate manner ensuring that these are handed over
  • Share technical knowledge with users and to provide basic training on systems and applications
  • To assist the IT infrastructure team in securing and maintaining the IT infrastructure systems
  • Share technical knowledge with users and to provide basic training on systems and applications
  • Speaking to customers and suppliers
  • Provisioning mobile, voice and data services via network portals
  • Researching solutions to user issues
  • Reviewing new products and technology
  • In order to be considered candidates should have:o Two plus years helpdesk experience.o Good customer service skills.o Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Teams.o Ability to troubleshoot routers/switches and mobile devices/connectivity.o A broad understanding of landline and mobile technology would be helpful but is not essential.o Understanding of MDM platforms desirable.
