We need to urgently reverse the loss of wildlife and put nature into recovery at scale if we are to prevent climate and ecological disaster. We recognise that this willrequire big, bold changes in the way The Wildlife Trusts work, not least in how we mobilise others and support them to organise within their own communities.About YouIf you are looking for an opportunity to work with young people at the start of their careers, all whilst helping people take action for nature then this could be the role for you. As part of this journey, we are piloting a new offer of industry placements for T-Level students across England.This role offers the chance to directly shape a brand-new initiative for The Wildlife Trusts, and support our ambition to help young people influence the future work force within Wildlife Trusts. We are looking for someone with substantial previous experienceof supporting 16-18 year-olds in a workplace or vocational capacity to help us realise this opportunity. Experience of the environmental sector is desirable but not essential.We are looking for someone proficient in coordinating different groups and individuals, including young people and teams within organisations. You will be pragmatic and highly organised, with the ability to follow tightly controlled project timelines. Experienceof supporting young people in a professional setting is essential to the role.You will be part of a tight and dedicated central team and will need to be self-motivated, able to plan well and enjoy doing this with others.You will be a brilliant communicator, able to work across both formal and informal groups to draw conclusions and establish ways forward.
