Job Description

I am working with a business based in Newark that are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk who is immediately available. This is a temporary role, however if you are looking for a permanent role they are also recruiting in this capacity too.Client DetailsBased in Newark, this company are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team starting ASAP.Working hours are 37.5 per week - 8:30am - 5pm Mon - Thurs and 8:30am - 3:45pm on a Friday.There is both a temporary (starting asap) and permanent position available.DescriptionPurchase Ledger Invoice Matching

  • Registering invoices onto the system
  • Matching the invoices against PO and GRN
  • Liaise with purchasing, stores and suppliers to resolve queries
Purchase Ledger Payments
  • Regular and ad-hoc payment management to suppliers
Reconciling Supplier Statements
  • All supplier statements to be reconciled each month
Cash book postings and bank reconciliations
  • Posting all items on the system and reconciling each week
Other duties include
  • Expenses
  • CIS returns
  • Reports as required
Profile
  • Experience with accounting systems
  • Previous experience as a Purchase Ledger
  • IT experience - excel skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Confident telephone manner
Job Offer
