Job Description

Clipper Logistics is one of the leading retail fulfilment businesses in the UK, with ability and agility at our core, our cutting edge operations allows us to provide world class customer service to customers such as John Lewis, River Island, Marks & Spencer and PrettyLittleThing.comWhat is the purpose of the roleTo complete all aspects of HR administration throughout the employee life cycle. provide comprehensive, professional and effective HR Generalist support in line with Company policy and legislation.Key accountabilities of the role:

  • Administer the onboarding process; HR forms, offer letters, pre-employment checks, references, probationary reviews.
  • To process HR forms for employees and submit to Central HR and Payroll
  • To provide support with formal meetings - interviews, welfare meetings, & disciplinary’s.
  • To support operational management as required through note taking and HR policy advice
  • Manage Time and Attendance system and work with site management teams to ensure accuracy of information.
  • Inputting holiday forms.
  • Manage exceptions process - Inputting missing or incorrect hours where required, whilst working to reduce the level of exceptions month on month.
  • Support with resolution of pay queries in a timely manner.
  • Maintain absence records.
  • Support with production of monthly statistics – absence, turnover, ER.
  • To maintain personnel records on Open People and e-files.
  • To order and manage uniform supplies.
  • To monitor and update HR noticeboards with all relevant information, guidelines and promotions
  • To undertake all other tasks as reasonably requested by management.
  • Provide an active role in site engagement projects.
  • Required skills, knowledge and experience:
  • Business Skills:
    1. Good Communicator
    2. Organised
    3. Confident
  • Knowledge:
    1. Basic HR knowledge
    2. Ability to interpret HR Policies and advise managers.
  • Experience:
    1. Will have worked in a HR/Payroll previously.
    2. Competent user of IT systems
    3. Familiar to HR Systems, payroll and T&A systems.
  • Hours of work:
  • This is a Full time nights role, with enhanced allowance for nights.
