Level 1 Network EngineerNewark-On-Trent, Nottinghamshire£18,000 - £22,000Are you a Service Desk Analyst or 1st Line IT engineer looking for your next challengeDo you have a CCNA or working towards one and have some exposure to Networking ticketsWill you be able to provide a high level of customer service whilst providing solutions to tight deadlinesThen this Level 1 Network Engineer role may be for you!My client is a fast growing technology business that supports corporate and sme clients with the top quality IT services, solutions and products. Their managed services teams are based in sites within Newark-On-Trent and they provide a focused range of hosted and cloud services through their extensive portfolio, designed to assist customers align their IT functions to their core business requirements.My client is now recruiting for a Level 1 Network Engineer to join their busy team based at their head office in Newark-On-Trent. Working within a small team, you will help maintain and provide the services of my client. You will be working on technical calls for all software and hardware related issues raised by customers or their in house remote management and monitoring solutions.This role features working to standard office hours (between 8:00 - 18:00) Monday to Friday 40 hours per week)Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide monitoring and support to all of bespoke MS hosted environments.
  • To help resolve issues raised by customers and internal users to the SLA updated on their ticketing system.
  • The implementation, configuration and maintenance of network devices, physical hardware and virtual machines.
  • Essential Skills:
  • A minimum of one year within a dedicated IT department
  • To be able to work to tight deadlines and manage priorities
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Must be able to work in a team or on your own.
  • Networking skills (working towards a CCNA or Obtained a CCNA)
  • Desired Skills:
  • An understanding of Visualisation and backup technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Veeam).
  • Experience of working to ITIL, Ideally hold a foundation certificate
