We are delighted to be exclusively supporting our client to bring on board a seasoned Head of Operations and Supply Chain who has a strong track record of continuously driving improvements within automated environments.This is a business critical role, that requires someone with industry experience to join at a crucial stage, to drive performance and ultimately taking their multi-site operational processes from "good to great".The business:You will be joining a highly successful business within the Pharmaceutical sector, who supply a wide range of products. Commercially, this business are in a very good place - with a strong customer-base, a healthy order book and continual investment over thelast few years, this is an organisation that are constantly looking ahead.The business are underpinned by a strong set of values that breeds collaborative working, that values hard work and long-term commitment, but above all understands the importance of people - which they quite firmly place at the heart of everything they do.The role:The Head of Operations & Supply Chain will take a lead on all operational matters within the business - including everything from warehousing, engineering and distribution activities for the business and you will be responsible for leading a team of circa 200staff members working across a number of processing sites, situated within a close proximity of another.The warehousing sites are blend of manual as well as automated processes - something the business have invested heavily into recently, so it is paramount the Head of Operations & Supply Chain coming in has proven track record of leading large teams in highlyautomated, fast paced and high SKU environments.The Head of Operations and Supply Chain will be responsible for the overall strategy and plans for the sites, and with the utmost backing of the wider leadership, will be accountable to ensure the operational capability remains fit for purpose as the continueto grow commercially.The successful candidate for the Head of Operations & Supply Chain role will have the following background:* Experience leading multi-site operations in highly automated environments within Pharmaceutical, FMCG, Food or related sectors.* Have a people centric and values-based leadership approach, with a track record of people development.* Lean Six Sigma expert - with evidence of continuous development within this subject and previous success of applying Lean/Six Sigma tools to drive performance and improve supply/capacity planning.* Strong micro/macro management skills - this will of course be strategic role, but as with all leaders within this business, we are looking for doers, who have the capability to roll sleeves up and get stuck in, as well rolling sleeves down to have high-level,strategic conversations with other members of the management team.People who have previously held the following job titles will be considered for the role - General Manager, Head of Operations, Operations Director, Head of Manufacturing, Head of Production, Production Director, Head of Distribution, Head of Logistics, DistributionDirector, Logistics Director, Supply Chain Director, Head of Supply Chain, Head of Warehouse, Warehouse Director, Site Director, Plant Director or Site Lead
