Job Description

Contracts ManagerCroydon£60k to £75k Full time, PermanentThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join an award winning contractor!In return a good salary will be offered along with other enhanced benefits, as well as joining a long established and well respected employer who invests in their staff and their personal development.The Role

  • Managing multiple and complex contracts to achieve financial, safety, quality, and environmental targets
  • Pre- contract planning and liaison with estimators
  • Leading and delegating duties to engineering and contract staff
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of current contract forms, acts and legislation
  • Accepting, approving, and issuing contracts and subcontracts
  • Compliance with health and safety procedures.
  • Planning, programming and resourcing contracts
  • Liaising with clients, surveyors, sub-contractors and other stakeholders
  • Assisting with the preparation of quality bids and PQQs
  • Providing technical, contractual, and legal advice
  • Budgeting, monitoring and control of contract finances
  • Identifying, evaluating, and managing claims and variations
  • Motivating, coaching, and providing guidance to staff and operatives
  • HR duties such as recruitment, assisting with appraisals and disciplinaries.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years experience in civil engineering involving repairs and maintenance
  • High level of experience in all areas of Contracts Management including surveying, financial, contractual, programming/planning.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • SMSTS, Temporary Works Coordinator and CSCS Card
  • Chartered or working towards MICE or MCIOB
  • Full driving licence
