Job Description

Experienced Team Leader required for an 18-year-old young man who has Cerebral Palsy and who is living in the Neston area.We are recruiting a Team Leader to organise and co-ordinate a small team of Support Workers who work with our client. He is a wheelchair user and his speech is affected by his Cerebral Palsy. His support workers share and enjoy outings and activities withhim, including going to football matches, concerts and to the pub. There are some personal care aspects to the job. There may also be the possibility of accompanying him on holiday.He needs to be escorted to and from school and to be supported during the school holidays.Working hours: a minimum of 100 hours per month.Our client seeks someone who is well organised, flexible, trustworthy, reliable and who can fit in with a family environment. Applicants must also have experience and enthusiasm for working with young people with physical and communication disabilities.Rates of pay: £16.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £18.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday. Sleep-in shifts will be paid at a rate of £87.20 per shift.An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided.
