Job Description

Our prestigious customer is looking for an Internal Sales Account Manager to join their expanding team on a permanent basis.This position attracts a salary of between £237k to £30k + Commision. The benefits package includes:22 days holiday entitlement rising to 25 days after 5 plus years service and Bank holidays.Company supported CSR Volunteer Day2 days for personal wellbeingPension - including the option to join Salary Sacrifice/Exchange for Pension scheme (SXP)Death in Service - x4 basic salaryPrivate Medical Insurance available, partially subsidised.Corporate gym membership available, partially subsidised.Salary sacrifice charity donation scheme.Working in the rapidly growing and successful Wales Sales team, with the focus on proactively selling into existing accounts and targeting new accounts in partnership with the External Account Manager responsible for the account set. The role is for a drivenindividual to be the internal representative to a defined account set, creating a win/win/win situation for the customers and our partners.The candidate will be expected to competently make cold and warm calls without hesitation and consistently send compelling emails, directing the next steps in the engagement- with the aim of building rapport to the benefit of the sales cycle. Whilst theinitial sale will likely be for End User Compute products and services, the candidate will identify other requirements, which they will discuss with the External Account Manager.The Candidate will develop a good understanding of the business issues facing Public Sector customers in general but more specifically within the context of Wales. It is expected that the candidate will become the subject matter expert on End User Computeproducts and services, and be able to sell externally and internally the concepts such as Modern Workplace and Mobile Workforce.The candidate will be exposed to every element of the sales cycle, including but not limited to:

  • Lead generation
  • Opportunity identification
  • Proposing the solution
  • Quote creation
  • Closing sales
  • The successful candidate will be at ease selling autonomously, but also able to work in partnership with their External Account Manager and as part of the Wales team.
  • a) Key Objectives:
  • To deliver against and exceed sales targets
    • To hit agreed KPIs
    • To sell and promote the appropriate products and services the company offers
    • To proactively grow and maintain an account base in partnership with an External Account Manager
    • To agree on performance levels required to achieve targets
    • To manage their time effectively
    • To work effectively as part of the Welsh Sales team,
    b) Responsibilities:
    • To partner with customers, adding value to their business and solving problems, through technology
    • To generate and nurture own leads and follow up on given leads through telephone calls and emails
    • To accurately document activities, customer information, and sales opportunities on the CRM system at an agreed frequency
    • To prepare to discuss CRM and forecast numbers each Friday
    • To identify and report on performance issues
    • To ensure all existing customers are spoken to at least every two weeks
    • To ensure Business Unit Manager and relevant External Account Managers are kept regularly informed of activity
    • To improve knowledge and skill set required to successfully carry out the role
    • To ensure that any hindrances to sales performance are quickly resolved
    c) Relationships:
    • Report to Business Unit Manager
    • Be part of the Ci Wales Sales team and Centerprise as a whole
    Work alongside and communicate with all departments and adherence to their procedures
    • As with all personnel within the business, the individual will also be required to show:
    • A commitment to comply with the Companys Information Security Policy
    • A commitment to promptly report any security weaknesses or incidents
    • A commitment to adopt and maintain a Health and Safety culture within the Group
    • Essential
      • A passion to learn and understand key IT concepts and trends
      • Demonstrable sales skills
      • Previous sales experience making cold and warm calls with confidence and ease
      • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
      • Able to effectively articulate value propositions through telephone calls
      • Good time management and administrative/organisational skills
      • Building relationships and customer understanding and conversion into sales opportunities
      • To be able to manage existing accounts and to create new opportunities
      • Effective objection handling
      • The ability to thrive in competitive situations and negotiations
      • Good general IT knowledge
      Competent in O365 package i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc
    • Desirable
      • An understanding of the Public Sector market place
      • An understanding of the latest trends around End User Compute
      • An understanding on the wider concept surround IT infrastructure.
      Previous experience working in a contact centre, or another customer focused role
