Job Description

Software and IT Support SpecialistNeath£25,000 P/A Dependent on ExperienceMy client:My client has built a strong reputation in the market as a quality British manufacturer supplying the UK and worldwide, they truly believe in going the extra mile for their customers. My clients product range is at the cutting edge of parcel and logisticsmanagement. This is an amazing opportunity to make an invaluable contribution to the team and influence the sector.The Role:After a period of rapid growth my client are looking for a Customer and IT Support Specialist. The role requires IT systems support across the business including, process development, new business sales support, system configuration, post order / pre-installation,post installation and project work.

  • Mapping and documenting processes and keeping up to date records/documentation
  • Testing of new software releases, corrections as required
  • Identify and manage bug fixes/correction for UK live platform
  • Prepare and submit UK software development proposals
  • Create process flow maps in line with customer specific customisations
  • Liaise with relevant software teams when more advanced changes are required and over time acquire this capability in the UK
  • Verify system setup and configuration / test functionality prior to despatch
  • Provide customer technical support for mobile app, client software, software communication with electronic components, resolve connectivity issues and system faults
Requirements, the successful applicant will have the following experience and qualifications:
  • Experience as a Customer IT Support Specialist or similar CS role
  • Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases, and remote control
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Multi-tasking abilities
  • Customer-oriented
  • Familiarity with both PC Hardware and Software
  • Experience with computer networks
  • Desirable BSc in Information Technology or relevant diploma
