Job Description

IT Service Desk Engineer required to work for a global organisation supporting approximately 3000 users. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience of working within a fast moving environment.As service desk technician, you will provide on and off-site technical support to users of computer applications and hardware (e.g. PCs, tablets, printers), collaborate with network services, software systems engineering and/or application development inorder to restore service and/or identify problems, and typically resolves issues referred by 1st line helpdesk support.Priority duties will be to support software, and hardware and will require you to travel to multiple sites on occasion, you must therefore have a valid driving license.Skills and experience required:Ideally you will be proactive and customer centric with a can do attitude. Have the ability to think on your feet and react positively to varied requests and difficult situations.

  • Excellent and confident communication skills are a must. You must be comfortable speaking to and working with all levels of management and staff.
  • You must have experience of working on an IT Service Desk or similar role.
  • Be great at prioritisation, organisation and display time management skills.
  • Be proficient in using and supporting all Office 365 applications, and able to provide general application and OS support and related fixes.
  • Understand and utilise account management tools such as Exchange on-prem and online, and Active Directory on-prem and Azure administration
  • Have a good understanding and be able to undertake hardware fault diagnosis and repair.
  • Be able to provide both desk-side and remote support, talking users through instructions where necessary, and using screenshare services (TeamViewer, Teams etc.) where possible.
  • Must have a valid driving license.
This role is based on site and there may be travel to other sites as and when required.ITIL Foundation certification will be supported should you not be certified.
