Job Description

If youre a customer service advisor with insurance claims experience, this is the perfect full-time Claims Handler role for you. A busy company in Preston Brook, Cheshire is seeking a Claims Handler to join their team. Theyre offering a salary of between £18,000 - £21,000 per year for this full-time role. As an Insurance Claims Handler, you will ensure that work is correctly prioritised; have good problem-solving skills to overcome issues using appropriate solutions; accurately record claims data using the system and to instruct suppliers and make payments. Your Claims Handler primary duties include:

  • Ensure that business goals are achieved
  • Drive the claim to a successful outcome
  • Technical skills to deal with all manner of situations competently
  • Assist in resolving multiple issues, for example, liability or quantum disputes
    • You will offer a collaborative, thoughtful and helpful approach and have a desire to hit targets, reduce claims costs and to provide an excellent customer journey. Insurance claims experience for this full-time, Cheshire-based role includes:
  • Apprentice Level - External NVQ qualification to be undertaken
  • A good understanding of motor claims processes
  • A strong understanding of motor insurance policies
  • Relevant claims insurance qualifications
  • Experience in the insurance industry an advantage
    • You will also need the ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues, using the telephone, face to face or in writing and fully understand the issues that the customers and colleagues are facing.
