Job Description

Van delivery driverWorking Any 5 days from 7, 06:00 start - guaranteed to be paid a minimum 5 hours per dayPay rate:£11.15 per hour basic, £16.73 per hour after 45 hours workedWhats in it for mePeople Solutions are looking for Van delivery drivers for immediate starts for our client in Eurocentral, Motherwell. This is temporary, ongoing work, which could lead to permanent employment for the right person.The rate of pay for Van delivery drivers is £11.15 per hour for 1st 45 hours, and you will be paid £16.73 after 45 hours. This is a PAYE position, so you will accrue holiday pay on top of your hours rate, and you will be paid on a weekly basis.Benefits:

Day to Day Duties:
  • You will work any 5 days over 7 on a rota basis. starting at 0600 each day. Shifts are usually between 5 - 10 hours per day, depending on the length of run you are on.
  • You are guaranteed to be paid a minimum of 5 hours each day if you work less than that.
  • As a Van delivery driver you will be responsible for completing your daily vehicle checks before delivering click and collect goods from clients main warehouse to High Street stores throughout Scotland. Completing paperwork as needed.
Essential Skills:
  • To be considered for this Van delivery driver vacancy, you must hold a current UK driving licence, have no DR or 66 convictions and have no more than 6 points on licence. Due to clients insurance you must be over the age of 21.
Desirable Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Van delivery driver would be an advantage, but is not essential.
What training is provided
  • You will be required to complete 1 days Induction for client which is paid, and you will also be buddied up with an experienced driver for a minimum of 2 shifts, again, all of which is paid.
