Job Description

The Technician will work within the Process Development team to provide key support in the development of Gamma Delta T cell therapy products. The role will consist of a mixture of routine lab maintenance (stock control, cell line maintenance, record-keeping)as well as lab activities to support process development projectsClient DetailsOur client work on products that are safer and less expensive, allowing them to treat more cancers and save more lives. This is accomplished through their integrated model, which guides the development of their products from preclinical testing to clinicaltrials. Our clients objective is to create and market cutting-edge cell-based products to treat disease, improve patient wellness, and improve quality of life.DescriptionProcess Development Technician:

  • The post-holder will be able to develop expertise across several practical skills including primary cell culture (isolation and expansion) assay development and multiparameter flow cytometry. The successful candidate will have a key contribution to theprocess development, scale-up, and technical transfer to clinical manufacture of Gamma Delta T cell products.
  • Other responsibilities will include support of other teams as required, and contribution to general lab maintenance compliant with GMP procedures.
  • Perform cell culture of primary immune cells, cancer cells, and immortalised cell lines.
  • Perform functional cell-based assays, such as cytotoxicity and proliferation assays.
  • Perform multiparameter flow cytometry experiments.
  • Perform routine lab maintenance (stock control, cell line maintenance, record-keeping).
  • Maintain documentation to appropriate quality standards, including, but not limited to, laboratory notebooks, standard operating procedures, COSHH/BIOCOSHH assessments, and Risk Assessments.
  • Ensure that work is performed in accordance with the Companys QA and Health & Safety policies.
Profile
  • Hold a degree in a relevant life sciences discipline with at least a year of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Knowledge of immunology and immunological methodology to take into the Process Development Technician role.
  • Experience with cell culture and aseptic techniques.
  • Familiarity with multiparameter flow cytometry.
  • An appreciation of GxP procedures, ideally in a cell therapy context.
  • A keen interest in cell-based therapies and their application to treat cancer and viral/bacterial infections.
  • Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Thorough approach and high attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
