Field Service Engineer Location: Scotland - Mainly South Scotland, Northumberland and Cumbria Home Based Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 + O/T + Bonus + Benefits Hours: 39 hours per week Fully kitted out vehicle, Fuel Card etc. My client, a world-leading Industrial Gases company having both process gas applications and gasification technology that has been in operation for over 80 years. Does this sound like youAs a Field Service Engineer / Mobile Service Technician / Service Engineer / Mobile Service Engineer you will be responsible for:Troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, installation and some design of control and instrumentation systems, and they support installation and commissioning activities for some customer projects. The organisation provides maintenance services tocustomers and production facilities in the UK and IrelandAs the Service Engineer, you will work in Scotland - Mainly South Scotland, Northumberland and Cumbria. You will be part of a Call Out Rota in support of the Customer Engineering Customers and will be able to respond toEmergency Call outs 24/7.As a Field Service Engineer / Mobile Service Technician / Service Engineer / Mobile Service Engineer you will also:

• Ensure safe operation and legal compliance of the sites
• Ensure all legal inspections are carried out before due dates
• Respond to unplanned maintenance in a timely manner
• Maintain documentation both written and electronic
• Provide support to customers and production sites with the following equipment - process plant instrumentation (e.g. pressure, temperature, flow, level, measurement, gas detection), shutdown systems, controls systems such as PLC, analysers, control andswitching valves, pneumatic control systems, instrumentation in ATEX zone areas (including protection methods for EExd and EEXia systems)

As a Field Service Engineer / Mobile Service Technician / Service Engineer / Mobile Service Engineer , you already are or have

• HNC or NVQ equivalent in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
• Proven experience in a customer facing role
• Proven experience working in a service / installation field role
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to work remotely and travel frequently
• Self-motivated independent worker
• Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot under pressure
• Good IT skills (knowledge of SAP is beneficial but not necessary)
• Qualified to carry out electrical inspection and test on electrical systems
• Working knowledge of PLC controlled systems, including fault finding and remote integration
• Experience on working on Pressurised Systems in compliance with PSSR 2000 legislation
