Job Description

Lynx Employment Services are a professional recruitment company based in Sheffield. Established in 2001, we have provided temporary and permanent staff to many different public and private companies.Lynx always try to provide a high standard of staff therefore successful candidates must be able to show pride and commitment to their work.We are recruiting on behalf of our client who is looking for experienced, hardworking, motivated Commercial Gas Engineer for PPM works in schools.Working shifts: 7 am - 3 pm and 11 am - 7 am shifts | Van will be provided | Pay £9.30Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, service and repair gas appliances in tenanted properties.
  • Size and scope includes servicing, general repair/maintenance and attending breakdowns of gas appliances and central heating systems in domestic premises.
  • Carry out all general gas works to domestic housing and flats, completing landlords certificates.
  • Undertake accurate fault diagnosis and repair of modern and traditional boilers.
  • Carry out repairs to central heating systems, including fitting new pumps, motorised valves, radiators and adapting pipework as necessary.
  • Complete appropriate certification in accordance with client and regulatory body requirements.
  • Gas servicing in accordance with manufacturers / industry guidelines.
  • Compliance with instructions and directives from line management and the Central Co-ordination Team.
  • Compliance with relevant company Health & Safety Policy, instructions and directives.
  • Delivery of gas repairs and servicing in both occupied and void properties
  • Out of hours callout duties as per rota requirements.
Qualifications
  • City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  • ACS qualifications CCN1, CEN1, HTR1, WAT1, CKR1, and C&G 6084 Energy Efficiency (essential)
  • CONLPGPD (desirable)
  • Part P Electrical (desirable)
  • OFTEC 101 & 105E (desirable)
  • DBS Certificate on an update system (essential)
  • Current full UK driving license
Skills
  • Good general numeracy and literacy.
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Time management
  • Ability to use Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) device
  • Knowledge and understanding of personal health and safety, method statements and risk assessments
Experience
  • Required technical skills
  • At least two years work related experience.
