Job Description

Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a Social Work Assistant to work within Northumberland Council. This is a full time hybrid position, and we are paying £18 per hour for this role.The role:A Social Work Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting social workers and other professionals in providing services to individuals, families, and communities. The specific duties and responsibilities of a Social Work Assistant may vary depending on theorganization and the nature of the social work setting.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist social workers in assessing the needs of clients and families.
  • Provide emotional support and assistance to clients facing various challenges.
  • Help clients navigate social services and resources.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to identify and connect with individuals in need.
  • Collaborate with community organizations to enhance support services.
  • Distribute information about available resources to the community.
  • Work closely with social workers to implement treatment plans and interventions.
  • Communicate regularly with social work team members to share information and updates on client cases.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute insights into client needs and progress.
Applicant Requirements:
  • Qualifications:GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths.Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience
  • Experience:2+ years working within a similar role.
  • Compliance:Current Standard DBS check.
  • Travel:Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours:37hours p/w.
