Job Description

  • Temporary position with the chance to go permanent
  • Day Shift Full time hours with competitive rate of pay
    • Client DetailsOur client are a well established Refuse collection business covering the Northumberland area.Description
  • Undertake, as a crew member, the collection of domestic refuse and recycling, to includeorganic waste collections
  • Undertaking regular collections of domestic and trade refuse and recycling /commercial wastefrom:(a) Various types of shops, hotels, restaurants(b) Hospitals, schools and other institutionsService ManagerAssistant Service ManagerRefuse and Recycling SupervisorChargehandHGV Driver/ LoaderLoader(c) Factories and trading establishments3. Collection of refuse and recycling from any other place for which the company has acceptedresponsibility for its removal, e.g. market areas.4. Collection of any associated refuse if required and/or scheduled:(a) Bulky household items(b) Refuse from litter bins (Rural Areas)(c) Cleansing of lay-bys and highway verges (Rural Areas)(d) Environmental highway cleansing (Rural Areas)(e) Any other items considered appropriate by the Authority5. Delivery of household wheeled bins, bulk bins, sacks and any other associated refusecollection equipment currently in use or which may be used in the future.6. Carrying out daily vehicle maintenance checks before leaving the depot, completing vehicledocumentation and signing off as the responsible vehicle operator as required.7. Ensuring that the vehicles are maintained in a clean and tidy condition, both internally andexternally.8. Conducting and operating the vehicle in accordance with the relevant legislation, requireddriver certification, in accordance with the Companies Health and Safety Policies, Safe workingpractices and Manufacturers Operating Instructions.
