Summary Could you be the Senior Volunteering & Community Officer we need to join our team at Morden Hall Park With experience of volunteer management, and wider partnership working, youll be able to build effective and collaborative working relationships withlocal communities and community organisations, combining a passion for engaging the public with a passion for nature and the outdoors.If this sounds like something youd be interested in, wed love to hear from you!Please note, the salary advertised is inclusive of an outer London weighting allowance.Interviews for this role will be held on Thursday 11th May or Friday 12th MayWorking hours: 30hrs per week What its like to work here Thriving Morden Hall Park is a tranquil former deer park at the heart of the community.It is a perfectly preserved country estate, a green oasis and wildlife haven in the heart of London.Our team works with many volunteers and community groups to deliver our conservation work and creates opportunities for the public to engage with our work. It is an exciting time to join our team as we seek to really develop our engagement with the localcommunity and community groups, and deliver more by working through partnerships.Click here for more information about this location What youll be doing Youll be leading and managing the development and delivery of Morden Hall Park strategic plan for volunteering and communities alongside the property leadership team. With a strong focus on seeking out and building relationships with existing and potentialnew partners and community groups, you will also increase the confidence and capability of our volunteer managers.As Senior Volunteering & Community Officer, youll support us in creating a positive, flexible and inclusive environment for existing and future volunteers, local communities, and partner organisations.Reporting to the Visitor Operations & Experience Manager,we have identified the following areas of focus to help us make Morden Hall Park a place which attracts diverse communities and all ages, and where everyone feels welcome: Lead on the development, implementation, and evaluation of MHPs volunteer and community strategic planIdentify opportunities to actively engage with local communities, foster opportunities for participation and partnerships and champion the National Trusts Everyone Welcome agenda Understand and manage the balance between local community needs and realising our wider public benefit aims Build relationships with new audiences and communities to foster a positive reputation and increase our relevance in the local area Increase volunteer support and partnership working to develop strong advocacy for Morden Hall Park and the work we do Be involved in all aspects of managing our volunteer network, ensuring people have a voice and an opportunity to share skills.This will include leading of MHP Volunteer Forum and the coordination of some of our established volunteer-focused events, from seasonal briefing to volunteer recruitment days.This role involve to take on Duty Manager shift on rota basis, and may involve volunteer line management. Who were looking for

  • Understanding and good practice of volunteer management.
  • Understanding of good practice in community engagement and involvement, as well as broader participation and partnership working.
  • Practical and successful experience of developing and implementing new products and approaches to volunteers.
  • Good organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to coach and support those managing, supervising and working alongside volunteers and community partners.
  • Strong communication skills.
