Senior Repair Officer - Housing Association 6month Contract (Possibly permanent) Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm Morden, Surrey£30,000 per annum (PRO RATA)My client, a housing association based in Morden, are currently recruiting for a Senior Repair Officer to support the Contract & Repairs Manager to deliver property maintenance including building safety, compliance and contracts monitoring services in accordance with their policies and procedure. The appointed person will be responsible for monitoring, managing and administering open and work in progress orders including updating the relevant Housing Management System, liaising with contractors and tenants. The Senior Repair Officer will also be responsible for monitoring and managing variations, customer liaison in relation to major repair works and managing complaints about the service. Main duties shall include:· Ensure that tenants receive a customer focussed response to their repair enquiries in accordance with policies and procedures so that high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved. · Provide administrative support to the Contract & Repairs Manager in gas safety, electrical safety, fire safety, asbestos and legionella. · Monitor and run regular reports on open orders including work in progress orders and out of target orders. Liaise with surveyors and contractors, close jobs in appropriate timescale, gain photographic evidence and make sure tenants are updated. · Provide regular update reports in relation to service performance such as open orders, commitment report, variation report etc. · Maintain the complaint register and provide support for co-ordinating the investigation of complaints about the service. Liaise with tenants, the relevant surveyors, housing managers and relevant internal parties in order to settle the matter in an amicable way. · Provide support in data collection and investigation in resolution of disrepair cases. · To provide support for surveyors in carrying out tenants liaison in relation to major repair works. · Assist with management of the variations email box. Liaise with relevant parties (contractors, surveyors, QS) about variations. Approve or reject variations. Administer variations on the relevant Housing Management System. · Carry out year end and quarter end review exercises in relation to open orders. · Provide support in processing invoices to the Finance Officer as required. · Raise and manage orders, pre and post inspections in the relevant Housing Management System as required. · Answer calls from tenants, assist with the management of the repairs inbox, take messages, raise orders on minor repairs, and escalate complex requests to the Contracts & Repairs Manager. The ideal candidate should have:Demonstrable experience of working within a responsive repairs environment. Familiar with the use of the Civica CX repair module and the CX IT system (advantageous). Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, in particular Outlook and Excel. Experience of producing illustrative management reports from existing data. Proven communication and organisational skills. Ability to work with people at all levels both internally and externally Ability to be flexible in managing a demanding workload to meet changing priorities Ability to work alone or as part of a team Required skills
