Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Unit Nurse Manager (Mental Health) at a Barchester care home, youll use your compassion and initiative to make sure our residents get the quality care they deserve. Well look to you to plan, manage and monitor the delivery of the highest quality nursingand mental health care. Youll assess the needs of your residents and implement people-centred care plans that make a real difference to our residents day-to-day lives. As part of your wide range of responsibilities, youll plan rotas, recruit, train andmentor staff and build strong relationships with local regulators and social services. As a Unit Nurse Manager (Mental Health), youll have the freedom and autonomy to take your unit from strength to strength, with plenty of opportunities for professionaldevelopment along the way.ABOUT YOUTo join us as a Unit Nurse Manager (Mental Health), youll be a Registered Nurse (RMN) with a current NMC registration. Experience in providing care for older people and those with dementia is important, as is a successful track record of well-developed careplans and detailed risk assessments. Well also look for an up-to-date knowledge in the most recent clinical practices and an understanding of regulatory frameworks, including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines. Youll be a natural leader who hasacted as a clinical mentor, including supporting newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship.
