Job Description

Compliance/Training Officer £35,000 to £40,000 (negotiable dependant on experience)Mitcham, South London An exciting opportunity has arisen within one of the UKs fastest growing and reputable Waterproofing Companies, who are specialists in providing Basement Waterproofing, Damp & Timber solutions to a large portfolio of clients in the public and private sector.Due to ongoing growth, our client is looking to recruit a highly organised and diligent Compliance/Training Officer to join their growing team.As a Compliance/Training Officer, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing risk-related programs, along with creating and coordinating proper reporting channels for compliance issues and developing company compliance communications.Key Responsibilities for the Compliance/Training Officer:

  • Assisting and supporting departments and staff on compliance or data related matters
  • Maintenance of compliance related documentation folders and data sheets
  • Supporting in development, implementation, and maintenance of the internal audit policies
  • Maintaining the companys BSI and health & safety management system
  • Administration of support tasks relating to operations department, RAMS and O & Ms
  • Coordinate with the line manager in compliance breaches
  • To review and respond to GDPR / Data Protection documents & customer questionnaires
  • To review and support the sales team with Information Security / Compliance / GDPR / Data Protection questionnaires
  • To review and respond to Data protection agreements, contracts, tenders, and other supplier forms
  • To work closely with the companys IT for Cyber security breaches, audits & certifications - Cyber Security
  • To implement all training throughout the company departments & upkeep the companies training matrix
Essential Requirements:
  • A strong background in Construction and/or Health and Safety
  • NEBOSH General (or similar)
  • Experience or knowledge of BS, EN, ISO Standards. (ISO27001, ISO9001)
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written communication and report writing skills
  • Engaging presentation and training skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A self-starter who can work without regular supervision/management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
