Job Description

Our client is offering a fantastic opportunity to join one of their beautiful Nursery settings based in Mitcham. This is a great opportunity to progress an extensive career in Early Years as they are a chain of two large settings located extremely locally to each other!These Nurseries were created with the sole purpose of providing a flexible, exciting and innovative day care centre for young children. The environment has been designed to present children with unique opportunities of exploring their full potential in a safe, stimulating and fun setting. The Nurseries create an environment which is enjoyable, secure and fun whilst providing educational opportunities to support the developing needs of every child.Position: Nursery PractitionerSalary: Up to £22,000Hours: 8:00AM - 6:00PM Monday - FridayAge Group: ToddlersResponsible to: Manager /Deputy ManagerPlease note you will need a minimum of a Level 3 Qualification in Childcare and 1 years experience to apply for this role.General Description of the Job: To provide care that promotes the social, intellectual and physical development of the children at Rainbows Day Nursery.Main Duties:

  • To help with the setting out and clearing up.
  • To work within the timetable and rotas set by the Manager and/or Deputy Manager.
  • To work within the nurserys key worker policy.
  • To assist in creative and general play activities.
  • To assist in providing a safe and suitable place for the children attending Rainbows Day Nursery.
  • To assist in the preparation of snacks and in the cleaning of the toys and equipment.
  • To assist in keeping records.
  • To be aware of, work within and promote the policies and procedures of Rainbows Day Nursery.
  • To attend meetings as and when required.
  • To assist in the planning, preparation and delivery of a programme of activities for all the children ensuring that the children have an enjoyable, happy and safe time.
  • To actively engage in your own professional development and training including taking up training opportunities that may be offered to you by/through the nursery to maximise your potential and to enhance the quality of Rainbows Day Nursery.
  • To support the nursery team in all tasks and to carry out any other reasonable duties as required.
