Reed are working with a growing, family-ran business based in Croydon who are seeking a Health and Safety Professional to join their established team. This is a permanent, part-time position, offering full autonomy to run the HSE function.Hours of work: 20 - 24 hours per week.The Health and Safety Professional will...• Operate independently as the company’s fully qualified health & safety expert to ensure that the business activity is safe and complies with Health & safety legislation.• Assist in the development and implementation of the Health & Safety strategy, incorporating all related top-level business risks.• Write and maintain policies and processes in compliance with Health & Safety at Work regulations.• Influence and lead on behaviour within the organisation and embed a health and safety culture amongst all staff.• Provide advice, support, and train the wider team in all health & safety compliance.• Carry out inspections, manage incidents, and write, maintain, and manage risk assessments.The successful Health and Safety Professional will have...• Extensive experience (at least 2 years), preferably in a manufacturing or comparable environment• Fully qualified with NEBOSH Certificate & NEBOSH Fire certificate• Member of IOSH• Able to demonstrate continuing professional development.• Ability to demonstrate an elevated level of written and spoken English.• Highly competent user of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, and Outlook.• Experience in root cause analysis• Accomplished H&S professional with experience in writing policies & procedures in an H&S context across a range of topics, writing risk assessments, reports and maintaining databases.• Up-to-date knowledge of H&S, and fire safety legislationFor your experience to be considered for this vacancy, please apply today with your most recent C.V.
