Job Description

Paediatric PhysiotherapistLocation:MirfieldSalary:£15.81 - £17.85 Per HourBenefits:Training & Development, Free Parking, Employee Assistance Scheme, Rewards Programme, 25 days annual leave, Competitive Salary, Pension SchemeAn exciting opportunity for an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist to join a well-established care provider in West Yorkshire. The focus of the role will evolved around supporting the therapy team to provide specialist physiotherapy intervention to peoplewith complex needs.My client is looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated clinician to join and complement their professional and supportive team. You will receive support from the Senior Physiotherapist and team peers. You will be self-motivated and ableto work both independently and as part of a team.The team supply therapy to around 100 adults as well as to the young people and children using their on-site school. All the people who use the services have complex physical and associated learning disabilities.MUST: have a recognised physiotherapy degree and be registered with the HCPC.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist clinical intervention and person-centred treatment for people who have Profound and Multiple Learning disabilities (PMLD) and deliver appropriate training, advice, and education for their support staff.
  • Work collaboratively to deliver a coordinated, multi-disciplinary service with health, social care, and education professionals as well as children/young people/adults and their staff.
  • To manage a case load and work directly as a hands-on physiotherapist to assess and treat children/ young people/ adults with complex physical and learning needs.
  • To assess and deliver hydrotherapy and rebound therapy for appropriate children/young people and adults.
  • To respond in a timely and professional manner to requests for assessment, support, and advice.
  • To devise and deliver person centred treatment plans.
  • To be a comfortable and able to participate physically demanding environments as and when required.
  • To maintain accurate and up to date records in accordance with professional and trust standard.
Knowledge, training, and experience:
  • To demonstrate knowledge of physiotherapy relevant to the management of children and adults with complex physical/medical problems and associated learning difficulties.
  • To demonstrate knowledge and experience of the Mental Act and DOLS
  • To demonstrate and maintain an up to date an up to knowledge base, evidenced through CPD activities.
  • To undertake any training development which has been identified through Persona Development Review and supervision process
  • To use and develop evidence-based practice.
