  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment, such as motors, PLCs, sensors, and control panels.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to extend the lifespan of equipment.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, ensuring rapid resolution of electrical faults to minimise production disruptions.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to address critical mechanical issues when required.
  • Propose and implement enhancements to electrical systems, including upgrades, modifications, or replacements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve the companys electrical infrastructure
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, spare parts inventory, and equipment manuals.
  • Generate reports on maintenance activities and provide insights for continuous improvement
  • Ensure that all electrical work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend solutions to create a safer working environment.
Profile
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in an FMCG or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, industrial automation, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems and maintenance practices.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and electrical codes.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
