Job Description

Job Advert: Cover Supervisor - Secondary SchoolLocation: Kirklees and WakefieldSalary: £80 - £120 per dayAre you passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact on the lives of young people We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Cover Supervisor at Veritas Education.Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classroom activities during the short-term absence of the regular teacher.
  • Ensure a positive and productive learning environment for students.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and activities as provided by the teaching staff.
  • Manage the behaviour of students in line with the schools policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to support the overall development and well-being of students.
  • Provide feedback to the regular teacher regarding student progress and behaviour.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a bachelors degree in education or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with secondary school students is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and engage with diverse groups of students effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to cover a variety of subjects and year groups.
  • Understanding of and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
