Job Description

Are you a driven and detail-oriented individual with a passion for finance We have an exciting opportunity for you to work with a market-leading brand as an Assistant Financial Accountant. As a trusted member of the team, you will play a crucial role indelivering accurate monthly management accounts and regulatory submissions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and UK VAT returns.This is a Part Time position (32 hours across 5 days) with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis.As an Assistant Financial Accountant, you will be an integral part of the finance department, supporting the financial operations of the organisation. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts including variance analysis
  • Ensure accurate and completeness of balances through analysis and reconciliations and offer correcting entries when appropriate
  • Preparation of regulatory reporting for submissions to HQ
  • Ensuring intercompany balances are accounted for, reconciled and reported.
  • Completing VAT schedules. Working with VAT team to resolve queries and update any changes.
  • Assist with the implementation with any new systems, processes and reporting requirements.
  • Balancesheet reconciliations
  • Other Ad-hoc duties
Your Skills and Qualifications:To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
  • Part Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) / Later stages of studying.
  • Experience with large volumes of data
  • Excellent communication skills (experience managing relationships with Stakeholders)
  • Technical accounting knowledge with experience of regulatory reporting and taxation.
  • Strong IT Skills including Excel
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
