Job Description

QSE Coordinator Location: Milngavie, Glasgow, G62 7LNSalary: Competitive, DOEContract: Full time, PermanentSaica is one of the leading European players in the development and production of recycled paper for corrugated cardboard with a production of 2.5 million tons of paper.The Company has recently built on its’ success in the paper and corrugated market and diversified into the development and production on Flexible packaging.With more than 9,000 employees across Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, UK, Ireland, Turkey, Luxembourg and The Netherlands, Saica Group has four business divisions: recycled paper production for corrugated cardboard (PAPER), recyclable materials recovery (NATUR), production of corrugated packaging (PACK) and flexible packaging (FLEX).The consolidated turnover of the multinational group is over 3.5 billion Euros.About the QSE Coordinator role:The QSE Coordinator will be reporting to the Regional QSE Manager, and you will be based at our Milngavie site. As this is a regional role, frequent travel to Edinburgh and Grangemouth sites will be required.This role will then transfer to our new Livingston facility in 2021 which will replace the Edinburgh and Milngavie sites, join our team as we enter a new chapter!As our QSE Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Being a member of our Regional QSE Team, reporting to Regional QSE Manager
  • Being a member of site management team at Milngavie
  • Assuming day to day responsibility for ensuring effective management of Quality, Safety, Product Safety and Environmental systems on site
  • Backfilling Health & Safety Management across region until move to new site
  • Having high visibility in the factory environment
  • Governance, risk and compliance management
  • Ensuring that practices meet all compliance obligations
  • Leading regional BRCGS and FSC/PEFC Management Systems at new site
  • Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Qualifications and previous experience across Safety, Quality, Environment and Product Safety disciplines would be advantageous
  • Seeking a self-motivated individual who is able to work on their own or as part of a team
  • Ability to work on own initiative will be very important from the beginning
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders toward achieving solutions
  • Attention to detail and quality of work
  • Knowledge and experience of documented management systems
  • Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Experience in a factory environment
  • Strong product safety background (food or food packaging).
  • Degree level qualification in one or more of the disciplines.
