You will provide a support role for East Dunbartonshire HSCP in the day-to-day management of administrative services and operational requirements of the defined geographical area including the administration associated with the delivery of patient’s services. The HSCP catchment area comprises of 5 sites across a rural area with 33 Admin and Clerical staff and 1 Maintenance Assistant, providing support to the clinical staff. You will have responsibility for the day-to-day managementof the administration and clerical team within their sphere of responsibility and will provide cross cover for similar role within the HSCP. You will deal with ongoing assessment of admin and clerical services, to meet both planned and unplanned service demands. You will participate in the redesign and introduction of services as agreed by the Corporate Business Manager and Senior Management Team. You will arrange and provide cross cover for administration and clerical services across the HSCP. You will deal effectively with patient and service user complaints, reporting accordingly to the Corporate Business Manager and where necessary collate information. You will organise, co-ordinate and participate in the delivery of training programmes for both admin and other HSCP staff. You will provide informed advice and guidance to administration team and service leads e.g. Hotel Services, Procurement. It is essential that you have an HNC or SVQ IV in Administration/Management or have significant relevant practical experience which demonstrates ability to work at this level. You should have demonstrable significant & relevant administrative experience. You should have a sound knowledge of how to develop and manage teams on a day-to-day basis in accordance with NHSGG&C policies and have the ability to demonstrate influencing/negotiating skills. The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday 08.30am-5pm (one hour for lunch) This is a Fixed term post for 6 months.
