Job Description

Traveleads is a Travel Management Company with headquarters in Leeds and Edinburgh. We have been established for almost 50 years, during which time we have won various awards and recognition for our commitment to our customers and our staff. We are seeking an experienced individual with travel industry experience for a 6 month fixed-term, full-time contract in the role of Purchase Ledger Controller to support our existing finance team.ABOUT TRAVELEADSWe at Deehurst Limited (trading as Traveleads) have been established since 1971 and are a caring company who appreciates and rewards our team. We are here to make sure our customers get the travel they need, without compromising on quality or value.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for trade creditor supplier reconciliations (BSP/Airplus/RSP/Evolvi).
  • Accurate input of supplier invoices into the accounting system.
  • Accurate and timely processing and allocation of payments to the supplier.
  • Ad hoc general accounting work to support the wider finance team as required.
  • Daily communication with clients, suppliers and colleagues representing the Company in an exemplar manner.
  • Proactive in communicating information that may impact upon the delivery of accurate and timely financial reports.
  • CANDIDATES REQUIREMENTSThe successful applicant will have experience of:
  • A minimum of two years experience working in accounting and finance within the travel sector.
  • Possess or be working towards either an Accounting and finance degree, or working towards a relevant accounting qualification.
  • Previous experience with Protas accounting system is highly desirable.
  • Strong IT skills and proficient with accounting systems.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills.
  • Good in analytical skill, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
  • Hard-working, proactive, with a can-do’ attitude.
  • Team player.
  • Be able to work independently in a proactive manner and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • CONTRACT and REWARDThis vacancy offers a fixed-term contract for six months and a gross annual salary of up to £21,000pa based on experience.The role is based in our offices in Millshaw, Leeds (COVID19 restrictions apply).
