Job Description

Serve Talent have partnered with a successful Engineering business to recruit an IT Support / Help Desk technician for their manufacturing facility based in Mildenhall, Suffolk.You, as the Support Technician will be responsible for providing IT Support for end-users at Multiple sites across the organisation. Support will cover both Software and basic Hardware/Networking needs, including end-user applications, PC hardware and basicNetworking connectivity.Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Respond to requests from users having issues with their software, hardware or connectivity.
  • Monitor the Help Desk via phone, email and website for requests and take appropriate actions based on severity.
  • Provide users assistance with company owned mobile devices when needed, including configuring email access.
  • Work with remote users to troubleshoot VPN connectivity problems.
  • Troubleshoot basic network connectivity, issues that require physical interaction can be escalated to on-site IT staff or the Network Administrator / IT Manager.
  • Setting up new customer accounts.
Ideally youll have:
  • 2 years experience in a similar help desk environment.
  • Knowledge of Windows 7/10, Office 2013+ and a basic understanding of WLAN/LAN design & implementation.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server, Exchange and VMWare.
  • As the role may be physically demanding, youll need to be someone whos happy to be required to stand, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Some equipment can be in difficult to reach places.
