Job Description

Our client has been supporting the skills needs of the logistics, automotive and business sectors for 50 years.They deliverpractical training and apprenticeships to upskill and progress the careers of both new and existing employees. They equippeople who are entering, re-entering or already working in the logistics sector with the competence and skills to become more proficient and productive in their jobs.They are looking for a HR Advisor to report into their HR Manager, The HR Advisorwill be responsible in assisting withfirst line support to enable effective delivery of HR initiatives.This role will require previous HR and adminisation experience as the role will require you to manage both the admin function and day to day HR.Responsibilites

  • Support all internal and external HR related enquiries or requests.
  • Maintain the records of employees both paper and electronically.
  • Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
  • Assist with performance management procedures.
  • Manage ER issues escalate when necessary
  • Maintain employment law knowledge.
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
  • Update Job Descriptions for new and existing roles when required
  • Perform inductions and update records of new staff.
  • Act a one of the super users on the HR System – provide training and answer queries as required.
  • Develop training plans as and when required
  • Developing policies in line with HR Strategy
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
  • Process payroll and resolve any payroll errors.
  • Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practice.
  • Qualifications/Experience
  • Minimum CIPD - Level 3
  • Degree in HR/Law – desirable
  • Minimum C GCSE in Maths and English
  • Proficient in HR Management Systems
