Job Description

VAC: 311Workshop based Engineer Salary up to £31,200 basic Circa £35,000 with overtime Package: (£13.00-£15.00 per hour plus overtime), company van (optional)Based Middlesbrough.My client is well-established award-winning manufacturer and supplier of waste handling capital equipment throughout the UK.Role & Responsibilities:

  • Along with the workshop team, prepare new machines and recondition and service second hand machines.
  • Improve / maintain the efficiency of the workshop whilst keeping on top of general house keeping and health and safety.
  • This is a workshop-based role however you may occasionally be required to attend customer sites to assist with installations, fault finding of capital recycling machinery and heavy plant such as compactors and balers.
  • You must be flexible with hours as there will be paid overtime.
    • Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Multi skilled Engineer - Electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic expertise along with customer facing experience.
  • Ability to install machinery / equipment from manufacturer’s instructions and have the ability to read CAD drawings.
  • Initially you will be managing one other engineer however this will increase therefore experience managing a small team essential
  • Single or 3 phase Electrical qualifications or experience essential
  • Hydraulic & Pneumatic experience is essential.
  • Worked in heavy / Industrial environment.
  • Direct experience within the waste/ recycling an advantage.
  • Experience managing a small team.
  • Full UK driving license
