*Internal applicants only*South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, as part of The North East Partnership Consortium is delighted to offer the Nursing Associate role.Internal secondment applications are welcomed from existing employees of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for this exciting opportunity. All applicants for this programme must be working more than 36 hours a week in a band 2 or 3 healthcare assistant role, and be available to start March/April 2021. The Trainee Nursing Associate secondment period will be offered at AfC band 3 and upon successful completion of the 2-year programme staff will be offered the chance to progress to an AFC band 4 Nursing Associate position. *This position may not be in the area the person is currently employed, depending upon service needs*Successful candidates will be required to attend Teesside University (Darlington Campus) one day per week over the 24 month period of the programme to complete a Foundation Degree qualification. There will be an expectation for secondees to work across other areas of practice including ‘In Hospital, Close to Home and At Home’ for example with community nursing teams, community hospitals, mental health areas (TEWV) and in hospital localities linked to your area of practice. This programme will involve some requirement for travel (as South Tees covers areas such as Northallerton, Richmond, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland). Support will be provided for personal development, academic progression and clinical skills development throughout the programme.Applicants must meet the minimum academic requirements detailed in the person specification and be able to present a portfolio as evidence of ongoing learning and reflection at interview.
