Job Description

Technical SEO Specialist - Middlesbrough - £23,000 - £30,000Our client is a unique Marketing & Advertising organisation, passionate about delivering the most effective digital marketing campaigns to connect businesses with the people interested in their products and service.After an amazing year of growth, they are looking to further expand their SEO team and require a Technical SEO Specialist to help their clients improve their online presence. The SEO team sits within the larger marketing team that support clients with PR/Outreach,Google Ads, Social Media, Influencer Marketing, Content Creation and Media Production.Key responsibilities of the Technical SEO Specialist:

  • Audit client websites to unearth technical issues that negatively impact SEO performance
  • Liaise with clients and developers to ensure recommendations are implemented successfully
  • Creating and executing SEO strategies to help our clients improve their online presence
  • Website audits
  • Carry out regular site audits for clients (content, technical, link profile) and make recommendations for optimising the site.
  • Make on-page recommendations based on keyword research, working closely with both the marketing team and the developers
  • Support the development team with website launches and migrations (redirect strategies, content migration, crawl-budget optimisation)
  • Support in the management of the digital marketing strategy
  • Keep up to date with Googles latest algorithms and updates and ensure technical SEO strategies are up to date and being adhered to
Requirements of the Technical SEO Specialist:
  • 3+ years agency experience
  • Ability to demonstrate your role in search traffic growth from a current/previous position
  • Good working knowledge of Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Tag Manager and SEO tools like Screaming Frog, DeepCrawl Semrush, AHREFS, etc
  • Understanding of common web technologies (HTML/CSS, JS Libraries, PHP etc)
  • Understanding of Python (prefered but not essential)
  • Understanding of browser-based development tools such as Page Speed Insights, Web.Dev, Dataslayer, Tag Assistant, etc
