LV Shipping has an exciting new opportunity for a Ships Agent to join our dynamic team based in Middlesbrough.As our Ships Agent you will join on a full time, permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits including pension and healthcare.LV Shipping are a market leader in the shipping and transport industry with 10 UK offices and many others in strategic locations across the globe.Key responsibilities of our Ships Agentinclude:- Managing owners and Charterers agency before, during and after vessel port calls, in particular offshore and project cargo vessels- Completion/submission of all relevant documentation including inward/outward clearance, CERS3, Statement of Facts, Notice of Readiness, Bill of Lading etc. and boarding vessels- Liaising with harbour office, berth operators, customs, immigration and all other relevant authorities- Coordinating vessel de/mobilisation services including procurement/arrangement of plant hire, welfare facilities, mobile cranes, surveys, transport, storage, ships stores and spare parts and other ad hoc purchases/services.- Arrangements crew change including transport, accommodation, immigration documentation etc- Coordinating and Charter CTVs/workboats for offshore transfer of personnel and stores. Liaise with internal departments providing customs clearance, transport, forwarding and warehousing- Creating and submitting estimated disbursement accounts and tender documents- Processing of supplier invoices and submission of final disbursement accounts to clients- Carrying out any other reasonable task as may be allocated by line or senior manager- Ensuring compliance to LV HSSQE systems and procedures.
