Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join their existing tax team, due to continual growth and exciting future expansion plans. The role requires attendance at clients sites across the North East. You will be based in either Middlesbroughor Darlington.Role OverviewWorking with an established portfolio of owner managed businesses and high net worth individuals. Assisting the tax partners and director in providing tax consultancy advice. Possibility for career progression.Highly Competitive Salary Negotiable DOEHybrid Working: Up to 2 days working from home Compressed hours: affords an extra day off every fortnight Part-time options & flexible start / finish times around core hoursDuties

  • Review corporation tax matters for larger corporates and groups
  • Aid in winning new business through active participation in business development and marketing strategies
  • Identify opportunities to offer services to existing clients
  • Working on advisory projects including but not limited to R&D claims, patent box relief, capital allowances, EIS, share schemes, corporate reorganisations, HMRC enquiries, M&A etc.
  • Opportunities to become involved in inheritance tax and trust advice, if desirable
Experience
  • ACA/ACCA and/or CTA qualified
  • 10+ years post qualification experience in OMB taxation matters OR demonstrate a high level of tax consultancy experience
  • Have experience in a broad range of corporate and personal tax matters
  • Motivated to deliver excellent client service
  • Track record of delivering to tight client deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail
  • Have proven people management skills
  • You will be supported by a significant amount of experienced tax professionals as well as the partners and directors of the business
