Acorn Recruitment is hiring an experienced Senior Management Accountant in the Middlesborough area on behalf of their Health Board client.The successful candidate will be able to provide and receive complex financial information, be able to offer specialist knowledge across work procedures underpinned by theory and be able to organise complex activities or programmes, requiring formulation andadjustment Role Summary:* To support the Finance Business Partner in the overall financial management of your collaborative. To include budget setting, forecasting and review of the accounts to ensure they are accurate and meet Trust reporting deadlines and statutory/regulatory requirements. * To enable your Finance Business Partner to support and advise on strategic and operational decision-making through insights and analysis to drive better business performance. Roles and Responsibilities:* Accounting review and reporting - responsible for detailed review and reporting of the accounting of the Centres month end position. * Forecasting - produce accurate monthly forecasting in collaboration with budget holders and provide challenge to improve outcome using financial and centre knowledge. Produce statistical analysis to understand true exceptions, summary to be shared in a monthlyconformance report. * Control and governance - support your FBP to approve spend and resource. Implement controls or reconciliations within your centre and adhere to central controls. * Profitability analysis and financials for service development proposals- provide robust financial data to be part of business cases and other development or reconfiguration proposals. Perform profitability analysis on existing services and analyse historicdata to monitor productivity to enable your FBP to advise on appropriate courses of action to improve. * CIP delivery - assist your FBP in identifying transformation opportunities using centre knowledge and data and driving implementation. Produce monthly reporting, run governance processes and assist with the reforecast of benefits (inc. escalation of riskof delivery) to ensure your centre, and Trust, achieves or exceeds its target. * Service Level Optimisation - Use of PLICS and other sources to identify clinical variances and other opportunities to increase productivity. Work with the centre to improve the quality of the PLICS data. * Financial Literacy training - use of financial, centre and systems knowledge to improve financial literacy and responsibility of the centre workforce * Continuous improvement - to appraise and optimise all centre and finance processes and outputs and suggest ways to increase their effectiveness and efficiency.
