Job Description

Our client is a successful multi-site industrial sector business with a base in the Teesside area.A new position has become available for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join an established and busy HR team. The role will provide generalist HR advice to a range of stakeholders across this complex organisation and support the HR Lead in the implementationof the strategic people agenda.Main responsibilities include:

  • Working as part of the HR team to ensure business objectives are achieved.
  • Coach and provide advice and guidance on all aspects of HR issues including: Absence Management; Disciplinary and Grievance issues; Performance Management; Terms & Conditions.
  • Assist the Head of HR with the day to day running of the HR function.
  • Support and coach the team of HR Advisors to ensure case load is effectively managed.
  • Working as a business partner to support and mentor line managers with HR issues.
  • Develop Policies and Procedures to ensure the effective management of Human Resources within legislation.
  • Manage policy changes.
  • Manage recruitment processes to support the business in developing strategies to enhance the candidate experience and make improvements.
  • Provide guidance regarding Learning and Development initiatives.
  • Manage Employee Relations case management up to dismissal level.
  • Support employee engagement policies and processes.
  • Be involved in managing a suite of HR projects, supporting the Head of HR in the delivery and communication element.
  • Support HR Best Practice in line with business objectives.
  • Manage and support relationships with Union Representatives.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable HR experience gained from within a fast-paced commercial environment ideally at the Senior HR Advisor/ Officer level.Previous experience of managing HR from within a unionised environment is highly advantageous. You will be a strong communicator and be confident in working with stakeholders at all levels in the business.
