Are you an energetic individual, someone who likes to be busy If you are, we need Relief Support Workers just like you to support our existing established team. Every day is different! A swim in the morning with one service user, back to cook lunch, then out with a different service user to the cinema in the afternoon?.Amersham Road is a Supported Living Service providing person centred support to service users who have a learning disability and some Mental Health needs, so that they can experience a wide range of opportunities for personal development.You will provide person-centred care and support to our 15 Service Users who reside in their own flat or bungalow to take part in all aspects of everyday life and to enjoy a wide range of activities. You will have skills in positive communication and engagement and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support. You will have the maturity to be able to work within a positive behaviour support framework, to accept responsibility and to grow in confidence as a skilled practitioner. You must be able to follow agreed guidelines and to work positively within a consistent, mutually supportive team ethos.You will need to be flexible and able to deliver support in all aspects of daily living and personal care in a dignified manner. The service provides support to meet individualised needs and does require shift work, which includes contributing to a 24hr rota which may include waking nights.We are looking to recruit people who enjoy a challenging and rewarding job and who wish to develop through the training packages that we offer.Previous care experience is essential for all of our relief roles.
