Job Description

Regional HR Advisor - Leading international businessLocation: Middlesborough and broader Yorkshire Region (WFH 1.5/2 days a week)Salary: £35-38,000 + Company Car + bonus + Career progressionReporting to the Regional HR Manager you will serve as primary contact for all HR/ER solutions for our client’s businesses across Sheffield, Leeds, Middlesborough & Yorkshire. The role includes providing guidance, counsel, and policy interpretation on HumanResources issues to leaders, and employees. This is a highly visible role that will suit a HR/ER professional that enjoys working in a fast-paced business, and someone who will be able to add real value to the Human Resources team.The role:

  • To deliver a customer focussed high quality and effective HR advisory service to employees and people managers on employment issues.
  • To influence, support, and coach managers on a full range of people management matters.
  • Management of employee relations case work for the assigned area including investigation, disciplinary, grievances and appeal.
  • Management of all absence cases including long term absence. Liaising with third party practitioners and occupational health to support employees back into work and provide guidance to managers on any adjustments or additional support that may be required.
  • To proactively build and maintain strong, professional, and effective working relationships with people managers, employees, and stakeholders.
  • To support employees across the group in the capacity as a Mental Health First Aider and promote other support available i.e. Employee Assistance Programme.
  • To deliver training on HR processes, procedures, and employment law through workshops and 1 to 1 sessions.
  • To work closely with the Regional Business Partnering team and wider People Team; ensure all business areas have the appropriate level of support.
  • To manage sensitive employee issues
  • To support with organisational design, change, acquisition, TUPE initiatives.
  • To maintain accurate HR records, provide efficient administrative services.
  • To undertake exit interviews; capture, analyse, and identify key trends.
  • To work within Company procedures, policies and initiatives, aligned to the employee value proposition to drive advocacy.
  • To manage employment tribunal cases, from ACAS conciliation through to settlement.
  • To support the Regional Business Partner to ensure performance conversations, promotions, reward and recognition, talent, and succession planning initiatives happen.
The person:
  • CIPD level 5 or above, or exceptional HR experience
  • Strong knowledge of current employment law & regulations, along with employee relations
  • Experience of working in a regional, or multi-site role for a dynamic/fast-paced organisation
  • Proven experience of providing practical HR advice to a broad range of stakeholders
  • Ability to manage a complex workload, often with conflicting priorities.
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Full UK driving license
