Job Description

Recruitment Business Partner Location: TeessideSalary: Market Leading as well as a leading benefits package that is designed to retain and attract the best talent in our region.Job PurposeThe Recruitment Business Partner will focus on improving the way we recruit to allow us to attract and recruit the best candidates in the market.The role is fast paced, and the post holder will be required to engage with stakeholders across the business and manage their expectations, the successful candidate will need to be self-motivated, highly organised, and be able to prioritise their workloadeffectively. They will require excellent written and verbal communication skills.They will take a leading role in the management of candidate experience from attraction to post through to month one in role.The successful candidate will work closely with the Human Resources team and Recruiting Manager to identify creative recruitment methods suitable to the College area they are recruiting to, such as academic staff for Engineering and Construction or Healthand Social Care, or business support staff for the Finance department. They will also be expected to utilise the digital options available to them to attract candidates as well as managing the College’s talent pool and work with recruitment agencies to fillshort term cover. This role will lead on staff recruitment events in College and attend external events, building links with local universities and recruitment agencies.Specifically the post holders responsibilities will be as follows:

  • To lead on all vacancy advertising, from panel approval, creating unique advertisements and working closely with managers to deliver attractive advertisements for all vacancies.
  • To maximise use of the College’s talent pool.
  • To work closely and collaboratively with the Human Resources Business Partner Team on coordination of the College’s recruitment process.
  • Have a proactive approach to recruitment across all areas of the College. Effectively manage the digital tools available to attract talent.
  • Provide key internal stakeholders with real market insight and salary benchmarking.
  • Provide a first-class experience for candidates throughout the recruitment journey and gain month one feedback on candidate experience.
  • Manage and build relationships with key agencies and local education establishments, effectively communicating our graduate training programme for academic staff.
  • Ensure role profiles are in place for all roles and are fit for purpose.
  • Create and manage all recruitment collateral i.e., adverts and recruitment briefs.
  • Linking in with Marketing to maximise our employer brand impact and increase response rates.
  • Attend and run recruitment fairs and careers events.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • To always ensure that the Colleges statutory duties in respect of employment legislation are enforced in conjunction with the Human Resources Team.
  • To openly encourage cross-functional working within the Human Resources Team, whilst exchanging and sharing good practice, to deliver outstanding client service and identifying any actions for improvements.
Requirements: Qualifications
  • To hold or be willing to complete the NSPCC Safer Recruitment course.
  • Personal commitment to Continuous Professional Development.
  • Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
Knowledge & SkillsEssential
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage and influence colleagues at all levels within the organisation.

  • Good knowledge and understanding of the further education environment.
  • and promotion of the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults within the College.
Experience Essential
  • Demonstrable experience of operating as a Recruiter across a complex organisation and or in a candidate facing role.
  • Ability to communicate with internal stakeholders across all areas and levels of the business.
  • Experience of negotiating agency fees and managing budget/invoicing
  • Self-motivated, initiative to prioritise own workload and complete tasks with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong administrative skills, high attention to detail, able to work under pressure effectively and work flexibly responding to changing demands and priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy.
  • Excellent knowledge of current UK Legislation.
Desirable
  • Experience of working in an educational establishment.
