Job Description

Overview: The role of Quality Assurance Coordinator will be responsible for audits relating to the College quality systems and processes. They will coordinate quality assurance and compliance projects and activities to support the development of the quality departmentwithin the College.Role Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate the cross-college quality calendar and key activities.
  2. Carry out systematic announced and unannounced audits and quality checks to support Middlesbrough Colleges quality and performance cycle.
  1. Prepare action plans resulting from audits, for Middlesbrough College staff.
  1. Provide information to the Colleges internal and external auditors, regulators and awarding bodies as required.
  1. Support the Colleges self-assessment and quality improvement planning, processes, and reporting.
  1. Support the Quality Department with all required administrative tasks
  1. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department and wider team
  1. Demonstrate an active commitment to the College and departments Health and Safety and operational procedures, including completion of all relevant documentation.
  1. Demonstrate an active commitment to the Colleges Equality and Diversity Policy, Quality Frameworks and Health and Safety procedures.
  1. Demonstrate an active commitment to Departmental Strategic Objectives.
  1. Actively participate in Continuous Professional Development including the introduction of new technologies to allow you to contribute effectively to the success of the College.
  1. Carry out such other appropriate duties commensurate with your skills, knowledge and experience.
The College may, in consultation with you, need to vary these duties from time to time to respond to the changing requirements of the College.Person Specification:Qualifications
  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent) [Essential]
  • Bachelors Degree in Education and training [Desirable]
  • Formal qualification in quality assurance or management[Desirable]
  • Assessor or Verifier qualification (e.g. TAQA) [Desirable]
Experience
  • Experience in quality assurance or related role within the education sector
  • Experience planning and executing audits
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in monitoring compliance and ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory guidelines
  • Experience in writing reports, highlighting trends, areas for improvement, and best practice
  • Experience delivering training or workshops related to quality assurance practices
  • Experience in fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, practices and methodologies
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards in further education
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in collecting and analysing data related to educational outcomes. Student performance, and satisfaction
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations based on audit findings
  • Hold a high level of integrity and commitment to maintaining educational standards and promoting a quality-focused environment
